What happens when I start a voice call?
Choose Audio, let your browser use the microphone, then begin a random match with one other person. Audio mode doesn’t need camera access. If nobody is available yet, you can wait for a match or come back later.
Is a random voice call free?
You can start for free. Extensions and extra features may use coins, and the cost is shown before you choose one, so free to start doesn’t mean every feature is free.
Will I need a camera or an account?
No account is needed to start, and Audio mode uses your microphone rather than your camera. Voxxy works in a supported browser on your phone or computer.
What if no one is available, or I want to move on?
If there isn’t a match yet, you can wait or try again later. Moving on leaves your current conversation and looks for someone else; a new match isn’t guaranteed to be immediate.
Can I switch from voice to video during a call?
Video and text are separate options. To try video, end the voice session and start a new match in Video mode. A voice call doesn’t turn into a video call midway through.
What if my microphone doesn’t work?
Check the site’s microphone permission in your browser and select the right input device. Close other apps using the microphone and check that your device isn’t muted. On a phone, also check the browser’s microphone permission in system settings.
