View a recording

Learn about the view a recording page

After your recording has been generated, or when you open an existing recording from your "My recordings" page, you'll be on the view recording page. On this page, you can manage your recording, the document and the transcript.

Update recording name

You may wish to rename your recording. To do this:

  1. Click the edit button next to your recording name at the top of the page
  2. Enter a new name for your recording
  3. Click the "Save" button to update the recording's name

Delete recording

You may wish to delete your recording. To do this:

  1. Click the delete button next to your recording name at the top of the page
  2. You will be prompted to confirm that you are sure you want to delete the recording
  3. Click the "Delete" button to delete the recording

Deleting a recording is permanent and cannot be undone. Any associated data, including: the audio file, transcript and all document versions will be deleted.

Core functionality

The view recording page is split into two tabs to separate core functionality:

Document tab

The document tab contains the editor and your document. This is where you can:

  • Edit your document manually using the rich text editor
  • Ask Voxxy to transform your document for you
  • View previous document versions and optionally and restore them
  • Regenerate the document using a different template
  • Copy your document to clipboard for use in other applications

Voxxy can sometimes make mistakes when generating documents. It is recommended that you review your document content after it is generated.

Transcript tab

The transcript tab shows the generated transcript of your recording. This is where you can:

  • Play back your recording's audio file
  • Navigate through transcript segments
  • Edit segment speaker names and text

Voxxy can sometimes make mistakes when transcribing your audio files. It is recommended that you review your transcript against your audio file for errors.
